You are now able to select if you want your face grade veneer sanded or left unsanded.  Many other retailers of skateboard veneer online send the sheets unsanded to save on labor and/or they are not set up to process veneer the same way we are.

We always felt that sanding the face veneer is the right thing to do. After lamination you can pop off any excess glue that may get onto the face veneer off with a razor blade.  If the face was left unsanded and glue gets onto it during the pressing period, you will rip off fibers of the maple and possibly cause a lot of damage.

The choice is yours.  We will always offer the face unsanded for cost savings, or we can send the veneer through our special wide belt sanders.
